Labor & Leather was born from two different journeys that came together through hard work, culture, and family. Our love for genuine leather started years ago, when one of us was introduced as a teenager to artisan-made goods from León, Guanajuato, the heart of Mexico’s leather industry. That moment opened our eyes to what real craftsmanship felt like - the weight, the smell, the details. We realized how much fast fashion had conditioned us to accept cheap, disposable products as “normal.”
Today, we’re a growing family, a new mom & union laborer - building a business the same way we’ve built everything else in our lives: with grit, integrity, and pride in honest work.
Becoming parents pushed us to dream bigger. Our daughter gave us a renewed purpose - to create a business rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, connection, and quality.
Labor & Leather is our way of creating a future for her while honoring the traditions and artisans who make every piece by hand.
Between us, we’ve worked across many trades -waitress, warehouse, property management, retail, and construction. One of us has spent years in the field as a union laborer, living the reality of tough, physical work. The other has dedicated years to customer service, connection, and community.
Together, these experiences shaped the foundation of our brand.
